Well… I must say the guy who came up with this is a genius. InstyMeds, a US startup, has devised a great way to dispense prescription drugs easier and cheaper. With the shortage of doctors and pharmacists in the country, this machine will help improve efficiency and lower costs.

The vending machines are designed to be placed in doctors’ offices, clinics, emergency rooms and other healthcare facilities. Each machine can hold medications that can range from pills to drops to creams and so forth.  All the patient needs to do is relatively simple. They enter their prescription number and birthday via a user-friendly touchscreen monitor. They can make payments either by cash or credit cards to cover the bill. For those who are covered by their companies, the bill will send directly to their companies.

Come to think of it, this machine could also be used to dispense non-prescription drugs for example Medicare supplement.

Who would have thought of this? A vending machine that dispenses food fresh from the farm. In many countries, farmers are being bullied by large wholesalers and hypermarkets. All they could do is to see all their hard work being sold at price that is much lower than what is sold to the consumers. However, one farm in Germany has devised an interesting strategy that may just change the entire game plan.

Introducing Peter-und-Paul-Hof. What they did was to collaborate with vending manufacturer to specially design machines to sell fresh milk, eggs, potatoes and other farm products. What a great idea. This idea may just work for other products too for example healthy food that can be placed in strategic locations to show people how to lose belly fat fast.

One of the main causes of obesity in my opinion is the accessibility to a variety of unhealthy and fattening food. Healthy snack can be some difficult to find in places. Even vending machine are stuffed with junk food and carbonated drinks with high level of sugar content. No wonder people put on weight and guess what, dietitian and drug companies that claims to offer the best diet pills makes tons of money to get people in shape. Although these methods can help reduce weight, they are symptomatic relief and not fundamental solutions. The only way to get in good shape is to control the input, which is the amount and type of food.

Lo Fresco, a company that responded to the call for healthier food by supplying vending machines filled with organic produce. Their emphasis is on solid nutritional value such as nuts, prepared fruit, ready meals and Spanish specialty, gazpacho soup.

I wish more companies can go into this direct especially those who are already in the organic food industry.
